President LaFollete is running for re-election in '08. He made a swift return to sound money, and ended the great Recession by 1906. This has made the Republican Party popular again, yet a southern Democrat by the name of Underwood is challenging him, along with his running mate, the popular anti corruption Senator Joseph Bailey. Underwood is pro-small government, anti- corruption, interventionist, ya name it. Who do you support?

The U.S Presidential Election of 1908:

President Robert LaFollete, Sr./Vice President Charles Fairbanks: 404 Electoral Votes 68.8%
Representative Oscar Underwood/Senator Joseph Bailey: 79 Electoral Votes 31.3%

President LaFollete was popular, and also a terrific campaigner. Underwood felt comfortable only campaigning in the Deep South, which led to his demise.  Sound Money was here to stay.

I was not meant to be rude if it came off that way.
