(2 votes, 1 for each party)

The 1984 Election will be interesting. RFK originally lost because of "Mafia help" yet in 1982, a startling discovery was made... The late president Paul was ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO USED MAFIA HELP. President Pressler is being challenged for his own party's nomination for his involvement. RFK has vowed to run again and finally carry out his agenda he has held in since 1972. He isn't unchallenged though, McGovern is running on a ultra-liberal platform, Dukakis is trying to bank his hope's with Kenndy's crowd. Hollings is running as a libertarian conservative democrat, calling for a budget freeze. Duke is running to impress the old, dying Strom Thurmond 1952 coalition.

I immediately regret troll voting Duke. Hey, at least if he wins we'll get a Republican president like Haslam wanted.

A word of advice from someone who's been there: never, ever include "crazy" candidates in an election TL. People will troll vote for them like there's no tomorrow, and then you're stuck with eight years of unexplainable mayhem.

I wonder if Haslam will do an RFK with David Duke. I guess we'd be able to call it a... Duke ex machina.

Hey, President Thurmond did a pretty good job other than postponing integration, and MLK fixed that.

If MLK can be president in this timeline, then David Duke can be Secretary-General.

If you're not taking this seriously anymore (as pulling Deus Ex Mafia twice so demonstrated), why should I?

Awesome. So we get a corrupt politician vs. David Duke. This is just like the 1991 LA Governor's race.
