It's obviously an R gerrymander, but so is the current map so it really doesn't matter.  Alabama has enough black people for at least 1 safe and 1 likely D seat (one 50%+1, the other 47% or so).   I think Alabama is roughly 27% AA and 1 out of 7 districts being AA majority is like 14% of the districts.  

If Alabama loses a seat in 2020 (most likely it will), then I think two black majority districts might be impossible, but not sure about that.

Worse.  Too many Black Belt splits and I also don't like splitting Morgan County when I draw Alabama
