I personally don't see how someone who gets a low single-digit % in Iowa can make the case that they're the best nominee for their party, even with a 15%-20% showing in NH.

OTHER: If you feel that Kasich resembles the candidacy of someone else or in a different year, please state it.

It's weird because Kasich actually has some past positions on immigration and trade that would have been useful in an attempt to capture some of the Trump wave a la Romney. I think it's the sort of people he's hired like John Weaver (aka idiots who have no idea how to win GOP primaries, whose basic strategy to win GOP voters is to tell them they suck) who have led him on the Huntsman 2012 path.

Based on his current poll numbers, John Anderson in 1980.

He is very Huntsmanesque: taking up the most moderate lane, laser-focusing on New Hampshire, and moderately succeeding there but being stuck in low single digits nationally.

How about we stop trying to find election parallels?

He's Huntsman without the good looks or charisma.

From a liberal/leftist standpoint, he's actually worse than Huntsman. And has a bad personality.
