Even Hillary Rodham Clinton says "who is this Martin O'Malley I hear is running for the Democratic Presidential nomination?" Smiley

Each and every one of them would be overjoyed to get the silver medal, other than of course Hillary, and perhaps Jeb!. And other than Hillary, Trump, Cruz, Rubio and Christie, and maybe the delusional Jeb!, each and every one of them knows they won't be getting the POTUS nomination.

Fiorina and Kasich are transparently running for Vice-President, as evidenced by their constantly touting that they are indeed a woman/from Ohio, respectively. Rubio was running for VP until the intended top of the ticket went down in flames, which explains why he is so awkward now that he finds himself unexpectedly running for the top spot. Needless to say, none of them are going to be offered, let alone accept, such a position from either Cruz or Trump, and Christie would need to pick someone with more conservative credibility.

Fiorina probably wont be VEEP. At least not for Trump. He already has to remind voters about bankruptcy in his Casino dealings, and Compac was also bankrupt.

Kasich or Rubio, no Fiorina.

OMalley or Castro, no Kaine

Excellant answer, though i could still see Christie choosing Rubio.

O'Malley wants it really bad, but it's not going to happen.

Ted Cruz is well prepared to be Trump's VP if it comes to that.

I think Graham was running for VP in the "you'll need a foreign policy" lane, but no one is interested.

The Unions and SEIU have already selected Julian Castro as Veep, by default of Kaine Fast Track Record.

Labor Unions want Immigration reform really badly.

O'Malley, Fiorina, Walker wants to be vice president. Fiorina won't bring CA, but she will be a ruthless attack dog on the campaign trail. Fiorina would be the favorite to win the veep debate in October. O'Malley would put swing Catholic voters in play. Walker could appeal to the Midwestern voters, but he would add red meat to a Rubio or a Cruz.

George Pataki
Rand Paul
Rick Santorum
Scott Walker

Most of these candidates would never be a VP

True, most of these would not be picked for VP, but all I am saying is that, given the opportunity, they would take it.

No they would not

Are you kidding?  They would jump at the chance.  They know they have no chance at President, so why not settle for VP?

VP is the job most suited for Rubio's work ethic.

VP is the job most suited for Rubio's work ethic.

But the VP's sole responsibility is to show up to Senate votes (in the event of a tie). Rubio has shown himself incapable of handling that level of responsibility.

Maybe Kasich too. Kasich brings Ohio, and maybe Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire's EV to the ticket.

He already has what he calls "the second best job in the nation."

Walker may have picked Graham for VP for that reason, but, then again, Rubio is younger and more popular and Iraq-War-baggage-free.
