I think if you can afford a car like that, you can also afford a private garage...which is the only place any car with a value over $10k belongs in this area. In addition to being one of the top five neighborhoods in Minneapolis for auto theft it's also one of those places where lightly bumping into the cars in front of and behind you while parallel parking or pulling out of parking is considered an acceptable practice.

That car doesn't even look expensive.  What is that like a 30 year old Toyota?

Bumping someone else's car is never acceptable.

I was really hoping it was going to be a car with a bunch of conservative bumper stickers.

I have no idea what kind of car that is, but if it has retractable headlights, I'm pretty sure it's at least 15 years old.

My sense is that bumping into parked cars is mainly a thing in smaller cities where most people grew up and learned to drive in suburban or rural areas and so don't really know how to parallel park. I see it in Madison way more than I'm used to from larger cities farther east.

Maybe this person likes your neighborhood's scene.

I know this is an obvious joke but my neighborhood actually doesn't have much of a scene, it's just close to places that do. Most of the remaining record stores (which are obviously all indie places) are to the west and the shows usually happen to the east or downtown. My neighborhood is more of an art gallery and fair trade coffee shop type place.

Whoever they are, they're more of an FF than whoever parked this Jeep in my (also bump-prone) neighborhood:

I'm going to assume the real dicks are who parked the cars behind and in front of that one.

I was really hoping it was going to be a car with a bunch of conservative bumper stickers.

I was going to say, looks like a cheap older car that's had too much done to it.
