So it seems like the ad is divisive.
Obviously the Malaysian public disagreed - the MCA went to have their worst election in the history of Malaysia -
only seven seats! (!)
Perhaps they should have gone for a safer option, like their dominant coalition party, Barisan National, which had a special performance of none other than
Gangam Style by PSY himself! (they still managed to dip below 50% the following election, so I would probably advise Malaysia's conservative parties to simply stop trying with music. It's clearly bad luck)
