In this state, the government has almost no regulation on the economy. Taxes are progressive towards the poor, inheritance is tax-free, and the average person expects to see only about 5% deducted from the paycheck. However the tax for corporations and those with over $100K a year is almost zero. There are no minimum wage rules, neither is there a government health care system or any other welfare thingamigingee one could think of. The only government regulation in the economy is that corporations get generous handouts in exchange for helping the regime's social agenda.

On the other hand, the state controls the media and ruthlessly suppresses political speech. Since technology is advanced enough every person is planted in their brain a chip that monitors their thought. The little education there is is carefully screened by the censors. Anyone who "errs" on their thought gets warned and reeducated on the first offence, cained and jailed on the second offence and publically hung on the third offence. The state television features footage of those criminals being caned with big words "THIS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU!!!" every day. Marriage is controlled by the government. They decide who you marry and anyone who protests gets hung. In the cities there are CCTVs on every block, capable of detecting where everyone is. Just for precaution everyone is planted in their brain (along with the chip) a GPS device.

So the question is: which is freer?

The US or the above country?

Oh, you'd be humming a different tune if there was a chip in your brain.

Ok, and that's somehow the government's fault? It couldn't be a computer glitch or something?(these happen believe it or not, as a computer science major I should know) Has he not contacted Lulu in order to resolve the problem?

Does the word 'paranoid' mean anything to you?

His book was obviously not serious; someone probably told Lulu's staff about it, which made them look into it and subsequently remove it.

How does Alcon's book being removed from a privately owned website have anything to do with the government putting chips in people's brains?
