A talented person who's clearly lost his battle with psychosis, preferring to roleplay his way through life as a cartoon viking man who dresses head to toe in animal furs whenever he leaves the house. I don't mind at all when musicians hold and are influenced by ideologies contrary to my own - fascists make some wonderful music, after all - but Varg's intense dedication to his idiotic philosophy sees to it that his post-Filosofem works contain nothing more than Nordiphilia and corny fairytales.

If a clock breaks down at 7:13, it is right twice a day: at 7:13 a.m. and at 7:13 p.m. Varg made some salient points about Christianity - yes, but beyond that his motives and psychology are all real questionable at best. Not surprised, really, that he made for excellent cult material, in all honesty.
