PD. I still have a small remnant of faith left in Italian voters.

Anyhow, you should have included more options Tender. This being Italy, Monti and Grillo should not be written off so quickly.

Do you really think the polls will be off by 15-20% ?

With circumstances being what they are it's not exactly entirely impossible. Italian voters have done stunning things in the past, don't forget.

Now, that sort of outcome is not what could ever be termed likely, but...

Berusconi wins in a landslide. Numerous bunga bunga jokes involing Berusconi and Monti are made.

I'm starting to believe you could be right with that. See the Italy Thread. Silvio is back in his element.

Counter-thought: Ratzinger will win the Italian Prime Ministership.

Unfortunately Berlusconi was only narrowly defeated in 2006 when it appeared at this point he was going down hard...I'll still be optimistic and say the PD.

The PD-coalition.

They won't have a Senate majority though.

I can't vote in the poll. My crystal ball is whispering insistently to my ear: Grillo!, Grillo! Oh dear Grin

Actually the first 3 options were correct:

* The IBC won because they won the most votes and the majority in the Camera.
* Berlusconi won because of the Senate and because he did better than the polls
* Grillo because he was the strongest party in the Camera and did much better than the polls said

Quite true... Thinking back about it, determining the "winner" ends up being more tricky than we imagined...
