Lincoln Chafee is no longer a Republican. And, out of these two, yeah, Nelson. And Nelson would win.

Nelson/Nelson.

Seriously, he is truly a RINO, since all of his positions seem to be well within the leftist side of the spectrum.

I voted based on the original wording of the poll, so reversed.

I think I would vote for Chafee, but Nelson would probably win.

Lincoln Chafee was the last Republican to hold non-completely demented views.

Lincoln Chafee was the last Republican to hold non-completely demented views.

He was certainly the last actual moderate Republican.

Apparently Republicans are only moderate if they're liberal on everything except for Social Security & the Patriot Act...

Republicans are moderate if they have coherent and consistent out-of-step positions from the Right. Not "if they're nominally pro-choice" or "because they work with Democrats in committee" or "because they'll vote for Democratic spending bills, but only if 10% is cut off at random."
