3 days, ending on Saturday for obvious reasons. I remember being very disappointed when Howard lost... though in retrospect, it was an excellent election to lose.

ALP, even though I'm not a fan of Obnoxious Kev.

Wasn't Howard planning to quickly stand aside in the event of a victory anyway?

Hmmm, at the time, I hoped Rudd could be the Australian Blair and drag the ALP away from the union domination and faction-bickering. Clearly I was wrong. But even with my disappointment in the ALP (for not being aggressive enough btw) - I still thought Howard needed to go and the Coalition needed time to re-adjust. Sadly, they did and just became feral and lost me as a potential voter, maybe for a long time.

So I voted ALP in 2007 and I would do again.

Howard had been planning to step aside, in theory, since 2000. Who knows what he would actually have done- maybe 2008 after NT and the preamble, or 2009 when he turned 70. Certainly wasn't in any hurry to give Costello the keys.

As for Rudd, I'll just say my opinion of him has never been particularly high and leave it there.

ALP

Like Howard personally for some reason despite his policies.
