When the networks switch to their Wednesday morning coverage team.

I'm going to say 2 states will be left uncalled by 5:00 am EST and those being Ohio and Virginia.

Colorado and maybe New Hampshire (it's small and early, so it would have to be in recount mode)

I think Ohio could end up being a huge mess.

According to Dave's election night timelines, there were a whopping 7 states still uncalled at 5am of the following morning in 2004, and 2 in 2008:

https://uselectionatlas.org/INFORMATION/ARTICLES/ElectionNight2004/pe2004elecnighttime.php

https://uselectionatlas.org/INFORMATION/ARTICLES/ElectionNight2008/pe2008elecnighttime.php

Though the two uncalled states in 2008 (MO and NC) were both very close (less than 0.5% margin), and it's not clear that we'll get more than 1 such state this time.  Might even be 0 (though up to 3 also wouldn't be shocking).

I think it'll be the two states I think will end being the closest, Florida and North Carolina. However, I could easily see an earlier call for Florida and a later call for Colorado and possibly Virginia. I'll hedge my bets here and say two (some combination of those I listed). I do agree with the post above that it could very well be zero or as much as three.

To add another piece of info for comparison, in 2000, I think there were at least three states that took quite some to call. Obviously, Florida, but also New Mexico and Oregon. I remember having to fill out an electoral map for school that year and I had those three states as uncalled Wednesday morning.

Not sure but I'd say the four most likely candidates are Colorado, Virginia, Florida and New Hampshire.

Virginia, where Romney runs slightly ahead of Allen (who loses).

VA sounds right, FOX will choose not to call OH if obama wins 51-49 but MSNBC will probably start the celebration.

Since the provisional ballots are expected to tilt Demoncratic, If Ohio remains uncalled at 51-49, it will be if Rmoney has the 51.

I predicted two, otherwise Virginia and Colorado.  I do however predict that after the polls have been closed for 24 hours every state will have been called.  Last time around, only Missouri wasn't called within 24 hours while Indiana and North Carolina were called the next day.  In 2004 Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa, and New Mexico weren't called at 5:00 AM Eastern time, but all of them were called by the end of the next day.

Definitely Florida, with Virginia and Colorado being possibilities. Ohio will be called before 11 PM EST, and Wisconsin will be called at closing.
