How would Perot's third run affect the race?

He probably would have gotten around 5 percent nationally, and thrown a few red states to Gore. The map:



Gore wins 300-238.

I'd vote Gore, and I think that Perot wouldn't have done as well as in '92 or '96.

The effect would have been negligable.  The only people who would have voted for him would have been the people devoted to his personality cult.  He would probably drain votes from both Gore and Bush, but most of "his voters" probably didn't vote in 2000 anyway.

I mostly agree with supersoulty, but we should remeber, even the most minor change in Florida could have altered the election and thrown it the other way.
