Key:

G: Band you really want to see
N: Band that you're "meh" on and don't care if you see them or not.
B: Band you actively dislike and would prefer to avoid their set

And in show lineup format this goes from latest to earliest, the earliest band is at the bottom (yeah it violates standard reading format but it's how all posters are advertised and lineups are listed on sites.)

A:
Code:
G
N
N
G

B:
Code:
G
B
N
N
G

C:
Code:
N
G
B
B
N

I'm seeing A on Friday and it kind of bugs me since I'd rather just show up late but don't want to miss the opener. B is probably the most irritating though.

Minneapolis has far too many bands that play a lot that are "N" for me because of a somewhat annoying local music trend, which is basically punk-influenced classic rock style music, more influenced by Bruce Springsteen than Jawbreaker. I don't actively hate it but I've been bored by quite a few sets by such bands while waiting for the pop punk or indie rock band I actually want to see.

C is the only one of these given lineups that I would avoid at all costs.

No matter who the second from last band was? I've actually tried showing up late to shows with such lineups and found out the headlining band is actually pretty fun or better than I expected. But you have to show up late.

This is sort of a tough question to answer because the only music I really actively dislike (country, sh**tty post-grunge) would never really tour with the music I like. I'm basically fine with seeing anything live with the right people, vibes, and amenities. You obviously want to peak with the headliner, so 'C' would be the most meh.

You would enjoy seeing an emoviolence or grindcore band?

Hilarious quote about the headliner on Friday btw:

I feel like a dumb for not buying one of those "No bombs but Jag bombs" shirts they were selling last time they played. I'm hoping they're still selling them on Friday.

I'd find A to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'd get to see two bands I really want to see, and I'd make the most out of enjoying the "meh" bands.

C also might not be such a bad setup. As long as I feel like I'm getting my money's worth, I'd show up on time, watch the first two bands, then leave early.

B is the annoying one, because in order to see both of the "good" bands, I'd need to endure a "bad" band and two "meh" bands. After the "bad" band, the "meh" bands would seem that much worse, and by the time it gets around to the second "good" band, I'd probably just want to leave.
