Maybe those who trust him do so because of what he is, or because of the skills he brings to the table, and not on the basis of what he says.  Though Mitt is surely a unique fellow, I think that kind of trust is fairly common in politics.

Actually I trust Mittens more than most politicians. That says something. Muon2 would be better of course. He isn't going to get the nomination.

I trust him to be the opportunist and self-interested pragmatist he clearly is.
