let's say in 1952 Eisenhower refuses to run since he was strongly against running for any office originally, so instead the Republicans nominate Dewey again. What's a map look like?

I'd vote for Stevenson, but I wouldn't mind if Dewey won (same as the real 1952 actually, I'd probably vote for Stevenson but wouldn't of been bothered by Eisenhower winning)

I thought you meant Dewey wins in 1948 BRTD.

Well still a good scenario, but I doubt the GOP would have trusted Dewey three times in a row.

Perhaps Dewey wins is more likely. I originally planned it for Stevenson defeats Truman in the 1948 primaries, but after looking it up I see than 1948 is when he was first elected governor.

I would vote for Stevenson.  I think he would win by about 3 points because people would be tired of Dewey.  This would be his third time running.

The good old days eh?  When Republicans weren't so atrocious.

I would vote for Stevenson, because Dewey is a worthless RINO.

This is a hard one... Two good candidates who would've made good Presidents. I'll go with Stevenson on the overall agreeance scale.

What don't you like about Dewey?  And was Stevenson a conservative?

One of you said in another thread I started on Stevenson that he came across as an egghead.  Yet he won in the South, which is now pro-Bush, who is the last person you'd expect to get tagged with the "egghead" label.
