Aren't you not supposed to carry condoms in your wallet for long periods anyway? I remember being told it weakens them and increases the chance that they'll break.

You have to pay for condoms in the US? In Sweden, as long as you're under 26, you just swing by a youth reception and pick some up. Wink

A lot of cities give them away for free (DC does), and I assume most health clinics do as well (plus there are usually mountains of them at gay bars, as Holmes points out--why straight bars do not do the same, I don't know). My university, being run by Catholics, does not allow them to be sold on university premises (which includes the convenience store located off-campus but still on university-owned land), so instead we have a student group unaffiliated with the university that hands them out in the middle of campus for free.

Ah, ok.

For the record I have paid for condoms on a few rare occasions, usually at pharmacies or grocery stores. But they represent a relatively low share of my sex, so the need to buy them has never been very high for me.
