Depends on what you choose to use as the starting point.  Most scholarship indicates that the historical Jesus was probably born more than 2000 years ago, but every one agrees that he died less than 2000 years ago.  We'll see another rash of bimillenialism in the 2030's relating to the 2000th anniversary of the death of Christ, and and in the 2060's relating to the 2000th anniversary of the destruction of the Second Temple.

Actually it is believed to be between 4-6 BC, with the likely second millenium beginning in AD 1995.  The first would be AD 995, a year ibn which there were two Roman Empires.
