Is this a joke?

Christ, people, GM is a key position for any developments. We need someone better than a man, who literally took a pride from driving his region into a crisis as Governor.

I want it to be clear that being better than past GMs wont cut it if the work is still inadequate.

How often will you inform of us of unemployment, interest, and inflation rates?

Will you provide detailed information regarding the status of each of our main industries?

What set of rules or guidelines can you point to that you would follow on a consistent basis?

I'd like to see these questions answered. If the nominee doesn't give us strong guarantees about his activity, I see no reason to trust him for the job.

I doubt Rowan will be any worse than the GM's we've had post Purple State - though Badger did a pretty good job IIRC. That said, I hardly follow the GM's ramblings unless I need the data to prove a point, so I may not be the best one to trust. At least I'm honest about it.

Here is an example of general public sentiment regarding the nominee:

I've always liked Rowan, and I continue to. I talk a lot about seriousness and activity in Atlasia, Rowan lacks both, but since he's my party colleague now and I had his vote, I don't care

Fixed.

Don't misrepresent, Senator.  That was a shot at Marokai, not Rowan.

I love how I'm somehow included in this, now. Tongue

Feel free to opine on whether or not his attitude will make for a good GM.

Gentlemen of the senate, as well as citizens of Atlasia, I hereby withdraw my nomination for position of Game Moderator. Game Moderator is an important position and Atlasia cannot afford to have a confirmation hearing needlessly drawn out for weeks which I know will happen with my nomination. That is why I have decided to put Atlasia above myself and I look forward to serving in the future. Thank you.

Well actually, for once the OSPR is (or rather would have been) fit for the task/problem at hand (it normally is, but usually is rought on the edges or otherwise messy), but here it is really is good. Here it limit's hearing time, so no way this mind destroying torture could have continued beyond the time limit. Tongue

While I did not intend to vote for this nominee, I am disappointed by some of the rhetoric against him here.
