Is Opebo a complete communist? He talks about "class brothers" and stuff like that, and commends murder, while saying that Reagan somehow killed the sick, old, and weak.

Oh, of course opebo is a commie.

So what's your opinion of Che Guevara and why?

I generally don't know that much about him, but I do know he was a communist and a murderer, two things I happen to dislike. I actually have a timline where Guevara tries to assassinate Nixon in the early sixties. (check it out)

As for young people supporting communism, I consider it superficial and idiotic. I myself, am only in high school nad I don't think too great about the politics of the younger voting blocs.

I generally enjoy his posts.  He's smart, fun, and probably basically a decent fellow, but shocking at times.  He's not a proper Communist, though.  Hmmm, do I smell a user poll in the offing?

Thanks pal.  I'm not exactly a Communist, but I do completely understand what the Kmer Rouge did, if you know what I mean.  If we can't have the Swedish model, the workers hould kill everybody.

Oh and btw, nothing has changed, fundamentally, since Victorian days.

What do "FF" and "HP" mean? Otherwise, I'm voting blind.

This may be a bit off topic, but can someone tell me why Guevera is any more of a murderer than a soldier from a country that we are not conditioned to hate? This is actually a genuine question (as I know very little about Guevara or his actions), and if the answer has something to do with civilians...then there are 100,000 dead Iraqi civilians that aren't rocking American flag undies in paradise.

That said, anyone who rocks a political icon's (of any persuation) shirt outside of political events or election years is either a cultist or a dork, usually the latter. In the case of purchasing a communist's likeness for stylistic purposes, I just blame white people.

I'm not the most informed on either the Iraq War or Che Guevare, but here's my small amount of cents:

Che Guevara killed people for the acheivment of wealth redistribution and a flawed systerm.

American troops kill in order to maintain peace in Iraq and to protect the national intersts of the greatest giver of freedom on the face of this earth.

We don't just kill people for disagreeing with us and "not rocking the American flag undies" (or at least I don't kill people for that reason)

In the end, the system Guevara killed for was broken, as is shown in a small exhibit 90 miles south of florida

He's a communist, which means he believed in killing representatives of a democratic system as long as they were not communists.

Besides, he combined killing people personally without, as far as I can tell, having thought it to be a big deal, with leading violent movements. So it's not as if he is comparable to a regular soldier.

Large-scale executions AFTER the revolution more than anything he did IN it.

Also, traveling to a bunch of countries you're not really wanted in and trying to recreate your revolution like you're some sort of 20th century Garibaldi is iffy at best, but the first point is the main one.

Just wondering how such things can come into one's mind. I get what is blind patriotism and that a young one more easily misses of distance, but for that it reaches such a point it needs help, it needs to be well cultivated. What does this job in the US? Media? School? Other?
