So is it his military interventionism you like, or his tendency to raise taxes?

Neither.

By the way, before you complain about interventionism, consider the fact you have a Democrat avatar, and they have involved America in all the following wars in the 20th century:

World War I
Banana Wars
Russian Civil War
World War II
Korean War
Vietnam War
Somali Civil War
Bosnian War
Kosovo War

Compare to Republicans:

Grenada
Panama
Gulf
Afghanistan
Iraq

Move Somalia to the Republican column.  Clinton did not send the troops in.

And Vietnam. Ike was the one to first send in "military advisers".

EXCELLENT CATCH, Einz. I completely missed it.  DUH!

We sent in advisors long before Eisenhower.

Granted, I don't blame Truman any more than I blame Ike or Kennedy; the war itself rests solely on LBJ's shoulders.

Weren't the "advisors" sent in under Ike the first to actually participate in armed combat?  Or was that under Kennedy?

And I still crap my pants everytime someone suggests Somalia was Clinton's war...

I actually didn't know that either did.  I do know that Ike refused to send in ground troops or order an air raid in 1954, so - unless his views greatly changed over time - I suppose it was Kennedy.

Agreed.  Some people just don't understand that some things that happen under one president are initiated by his predecessors.  The Bay of Pigs being Ike's idea, for example.

He was pro-choice, pro-environment, and opposed trickle down economics. However, he then flip-flopped on those beliefs (except maybe on the environment) when Reagan picked him as his VP.
