I have earned less than $2000 and racked up over $30000 in debt. Three years from now I will have earned $100k in debt....does that count?

Why the hell are you in so much debt? Do you have a spending problem?
Hahaha, no no, college loans my friend. F&M only put up $23k for me, so the other $30k a year falls on me unless I can put up the grades I think I will, in which case I hope theyll cover more.

How on earth is a school called F&M getting  away with charging $50k a year? That's almost as ridiculous as Wake Forest charging that much, and the reason they do that is because of our football team and newly renovated stadium.

Franklin & Marshall is a solid school, good class sizes, good national rankings, and, above all, a status symbol going into grad school.

"Earned" probably isn't the right word.

Non-rich youth typically end up very heavily in debt by the end of university.   The problem is, the government only loans out something like a maximum of $180K through the end of graduate school, so many people can't borrow enough to finish their Ph.D.

Lifetime, sure.  Annually...no.  Unless you factor in the wife's job.  I am a "kept" man.

No, I think I have made upwards of $50k though with about four or five years of off again on again work. I don't know where most of that went.
