I really get so tired of it.  I hope it changes.  Like many marketing trends, I pick up on this stuff almost subconsciously and then it drives me nuts.  Like how everybody is simplifying their packaging and overusing words like "simply" and "pure" and "naturally".. like putting it in a white box and writing "simply pure and natural" is going to make it better for the environment.

But yeah.. what do you think?  Do you wish corporate America would stop being a parody of itself and just start acting like normal human beings?

Infuriating. I also hate company logos that are made to look softer and healthier, sort of like Wal*Mart's new logo (it looks vaguely "We love the environment") and slogan.

Ya, but then I don't like advertising in general, and wonder if I have ever in my life bought anything because of it. I tend to think not. And marketing/sales folks will tell you lawyers are the hardest sell - every time - and I am very proud of that. Smiley

The fact that the whole package weighs 3.8 oz but packs something like 600 calories scares the living daylights out of me... plus the damn things probably pickle your insides.

Ah, that's the genius of it.  Nobody considers himself one of the sheeple.  We're all individuals, you say.  You're too clever for the tricks that fool ordinary people.  Smart people like you use products XY and Z to show how sophisticated their tastes are.  Here's where you can buy them.

Yeah, somehow it's just not brand.  But it is fast, fun, and friendly!!! with an unfortunate strong emphasis on the 'fast' part.
