Lean McCain

He'll win it.

At this point, tossup, but Republicans really underpoll in NC until things break their way on election night.

Tossup. I think McCain wins it on election day as the GOP TYPICALLY underpolls. I am worried about it, though.

Look, I'm really having a hard time coming to grips with the state of the race right now. I am nervous as hell because McCain needs a knock out punch tomorrow night or we're done. I am worried about North Carolina, but part of me still says he'll win here narrowly. I do think Dole is toast.

McCain just has to pull the margin to within 2 points on election night.  I don't believe McCain has any chance at winning, but he needs to pull the margin to as close as possible to help the hurting GOP congressional incumbents.

I'd say tossup, though I still expect McCain to win.

Feels like Virginia did a month ago. Toss-up. We're in uncharted territory with this state so it's impossible to say more.
