The debate here is about its morality not its acceptance, though... My whole point is that morality is relative to your personal beliefs, which you demonstrated beautifully. You take claim to being religious... To you, it is not moral. I have absolutely no such convictions, and I see no problem with it... Morality is relative... However, the law should not reflect such things, and should give equal rights to both heterosexual and homosexual couples.

In defense of conservatives, I don't think anyone agrees with Fred Phelps.  Even Jerry Falwell publicly said that Phelps is nuts.  Phelps thinks that no one on Earth is getting saved except for the people in his own church (and it should also be noted that his "church" is located in his basement and that its entire congregation is made up of Phelps' family members).

Yes (D) -- Marriage is designed to reproduce and it is physically impossible to reproduce without egg and sperm.  You can't have sperm and sperm or egg and egg to reproduce.  One may argue for invetro fertilization, but thats not reproduction inside the marriage.

Okay, I'll answer it:  No one said anything about marriage or reproduction, but, IMO, applies all across the romantic sphere from the heterosexual to the homosexual.

To those who asked me about different kinds of reproduction, the only way reproduction is immoral, and frankly, impossible is within a homosexual relationship.

If a woman is barren and she tries to have sex, no absolutely not is it immoral for her to do so, she is doing a beautiful thing even in the biblical realm.

If a woman is seeking invetro fertilization, then that's okay, its nothing to be ashamed of, if she is unable or her husband is unable to have sex.

Let me make this clear, and like Down said, a reasonable person can differ, but I believe NO ONE is born gay.  It is purely a choice from the top down.  God doesn't create anybody to be gay.  He creates us like Adam and Eve.  He did not create Adam and Steve or Ann and Eve.  He created Adam and Eve for a purpose.  You really cannot talk about the moral/immoral implications of homosexuality without invoking the Bible.  I'm sure even the Quran or Torah disavows homosexuality.  Someone who is further in tune with Islam or Judaism can correct me on that.  So, this is not just a Christian vs. Non-Christian thing.

Now, I strongly object to ANY violence against gays and their families.  The best way to get them out of that lifestyle is by love, not by violence.  Violence does absolutely nothing to help the cause.  I will be right up there in the defense of the gay person or family of the gay person who is the victim of such a heinous attack.  It is a hate crime.

If you would like I (one Christian to another) can send you information about the deliberate mistranslation of key words in the NT to condemn homosexuality afterthe 6th century AD, when they were merely intended to condemn prostitution and idolatrous acts of homosexuality.
