The "satanists" I know generally are just atheists who wear satanist T-shirts in order to creep out Christians.  I'd much rather vote for one of those people than an actual cultist or fundamentalist.  In general, I think my only religious criterion for voting for someone would be whether they have a sense of humor, because in my experience the ability to joke about your side is strongly correlated with the ability to consider it critically.

It's funny though, I've definitely affected a DWDL-style opinion (e.g. "my Supershuttle driver got lost on the way from the airport; I hate all Armenians now") for my amusement without realizing that anyone could actually think that way.
