I think they're similar other than their backgrounds but who would've done better as the Democratic nominee?

The one who was more principled and didn't pivot out of political expediency.

Bernie is actually pretty charismatic and a decent candidate, he just would have had too many political liabilities for policies. Warren not only would be seen as too far-left but she looks like the standard failed Democratic nominee, a policy wonk intellectual who can easily be portrayed as elitist and is even from Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Warren. Bernie Sanders is an unelectable socialist who turns people off with his cold, grumpy demeanor and besides he looks like he's 100 years old.

Sanders. Literally the most electable person.

But people were willing to sacrifice electability in order to keep most of the pre-Trump status quo rather than "muh icky socialism".

Sanders. He's better at messaging and less comes across as liberal coastal elitist.

I'm relatively certain Warren would have been defeated by Trump; with Sanders I'd rate it 50/50. I think he would either have won or lost very narrowly. The House may have flipped back though and the GOP kept the GA seats.

Warren. I'm not a 100% certain she would have won, but Sanders would have been a certain loss.

AOC, had she been eligible to run, on the other hand, likely would have won. She's basically Bernie Sanders sixty years younger.

AOC would lose in a landslide. Bernie would win because he focuses on economic issues and doesn't come across as elitist or woke. AOC and Warren come across terribly.

Bernie would have lost GA and AZ but probably won in most of the rust belt, so I can see him squeaking by with a win.

Warren would have been demolished across the board.
