I say No. Then again, if I had my way...there would be no victimless crimes, and thus no such thing as "drug misdemeanors".

Drug laws should be softened in the first place, and secondly this law (regarding financial aid) punishes only the poor, not the rich.

No.  Kids do stupid things sometimes.

Students with drug felonies on the other hand, make aid contingent on staying straight.

As I said in the other thread.  If they are receiving Federal Financial Aid, and then break the law, I would have no problems with them losing their financial aid coverage.

Any law? What if they got a speeding ticket? Or if they were caught jaywalking?

I know I have this irrational impulse to take what you say literally, but I just like pushing the boundaries. Smiley

No, if there were repeated infractions then I'd change my vote to yes.

Which is why I keep referring to federal financial aid.  Speeding tickets and jaywalking are state laws.  Smiley

^^^^

Also, it curses kids to lives of middle managment/insurance instead of teacher, scientist, etc. all because one time they were caught with weed? Seems like youre taking away too much for too little.
