I'd probably rather stay in the contiguous US. Alaska is just too isolated.

I’m already considering retiring in Jackson, WY.

I find Alaska much more interesting and have applied for jobs in the southern part of the state before, but on the other hand, Wyoming would be a lot more convenient to leave and closer to other places I'd also like to spend time in.

I voted for Alaska.

Alaska! When I was very young and had no real understanding of anything, I met an Alaskan Native by chance at a grocery store. He looked so strange to me as he wore some traditional dress and we had a brief exchange. What about? I’m not sure. But he told my mother and me that he was an Alaskan Native and  how beautiful and special of a place it is. Ever since that event I’ve loved Alaska and hope to at least visit once before I die.

Alaska is a more beautiful state with nicer people than in Wyoming.

Alaska is better to live in than Wyoming but it's simply too isolated, in the middle of nowhere, cold and lonely for me to want to live there. If the question was about visitng one of the places, obviously AK; but living there is another matter, and living in AK is significantly difficult and impractical compared to living in WY, which may have its faults, but at least it's surrounded by interesting places, isn't isolated, and doesn't feel like a blizzard about to happen.

Living in Alaska is simply impractical for how far north and isolated it is.  The seasonal fluctuations in daylight/temperature would drive me insane, and the cost of everyday staple items like fresh produce or paper goods are higher in Alaska than any other place in the country.

Wyoming has the benefit of being much more accessible to the rest of the country, and has very livable communities that are even becoming havens for the rich and famous of Hollywood, Silicon Valley and New York City.

Wyoming, by a mile really. The rugged individualistic spirit and cowboy culture somewhat appeals to me.

Alaska because Wyoming is a conservative sh**thole and Alaska slightly less so, but it still has two big problems as far as I can tell: High male to female ratio so poor access to coochie, and isolation making it difficult to travel elsewhere. But, it would be cool to have that much daylight in the summer months.

Wyoming, specially around Jackson or within an hour of Yellowstone otherwise. Alaska is just too distant to live in imo. I’d love to visit though. That being said, I’d love to visit Wyoming again. It’s been 20ish years since I went to Yellowstone.

I've had more than one signature reported.  I'm not sure about this one. Smiley
