San Marcos isn't completely awful, but suburban county = automatic HP.

The Austin suburbs (possibly excepting Georgetown) are some of my least favorite in all of Texas, even though I happen to quite like the central part of the capital along the Colorado River.

I thought this was going to be "Opinion of the Hays Code" and I was about to make a whole effortpost about how it was ill-intentioned and reinforced a lot of the prejudices of the time but also had positive side effects related to things like representation of (straight, white) women. To answer the actual thread question, suburban Texas seems dreadful.
