Spitzer only, though maybe neither

Not even Schumer won Hamilton County.

No.

Both of them have big enough egos already.

No, but they will win a large majority of them.

Spitzer maybe.

However, I have a good feeling about the Senate race. Actually...it's probably just wishful thinking.

Probably not. Schumer couldn't even win every county, and I doubt either Spitzer or Clinton will do as well as Schumer did. They will likely both do at least as well as Bill Clinton did in 1996 in New York, however.

As has been said, Schumer got over 70% of the vote and even he didn't win every county, so no, it doesn't seem likely.  If anyone, Spitzer could; I doubt Hillary could.

Possibly, though a better chance for spitzer.  With the horrific shape the NY GOP is in they could both break 70%.

Neither will do it.  Schumer pulled 72% and still couldn't do it.  Spitzer has an outside chance at getting into that strata of the vote percentage, Hillary doesn't.

Like others have said Spitzer might, Clinton won't. Oh well... New York elects some more warmongers despite being about 80% against it in the polls. I've been amazed how well Spitzer and Clinton have been able to hide the fact that they were both pro war from the general public.

Hillary's only pro-war because she feels it will help her appear moderate for 2008.  I've never heard Spitzer say anything about the war, and he doesn't have to, considering he's not a part of the federal government.  Although I wouldn't be suprised if he's pro-war on some level; Jewish democrats are far more supportive of the Iraq invasion than other demographics within the party due to the Israel factor.  That's why Lieberman's such a hawk.

Spitzer is completely pro-war. I had look it up myself but he actually wishes we invaded before Bush did. Very sad.

In the Schumer 2004 race, Hamilton county wasn't that close. Of course no one actually lives there.  Schumer has the all-time record for highest percentage of the vote in NY.

Anyways, Hamilton's wingnuttery makes it unlikely that any Democrat will win it, of course LBJ somehow managed in 1964. Conversely, I believe Harding won everything in 1920. Funny, Manhattan voting Republican, however it was once a Whig/Democrat swing county.

Hillary Clinton is a lot more popular upstate than some people would think.

I'll take your word for it, I haven't heard anything from him either way.

Spitzer really should do absolutely nothing from now until election day.  Same with Hillary, although she seems to like saying dumb things.  Neither of them can lose and anything they say can only be a negative.

Yeah your right actually, Spitzer would need close to 80% of the vote to win Hamilton County. That county belongs in Utah.

Yeah well most New York Democrats who know about it don't because almost all of us are strongly against the war.

Too bad.

On the issue, I think Spitzer has something of a chance, because the NYGOP is disintegrating at an amazing speed. Clinton obviously doesn't though.

Why does Spitzer's opinion of the Iraq war have any relevance anyway? It's not like it's anything he has any influence on at all.

Obviously what Governors think of foreign policy is irrelelvant unless they are considering running for President or VP.

Johnson won every county in New York in 1964.
