Our environment is in disarray. We must take all actions that result in returning as much of it as feasible to the earth and only using what man truly needs. Population must decline!

i hate the environment ngl

Maybe someday, but we do not have the infrastructure to handle that many people and will not in the foreseeable future.

because it's the best thing possible for the environment.  Which is a thing we should all want to protect.  We should be increasing the amount of unused land.

The modern left is really dropping the ball on environmental education.

That's a pretty simplistic way of looking at it all. The type and quality of unused land matters, and moderate human use usually doesn't decrease ecosystem services massively. Furthermore, it's much better to degrade certain environments (the Great Plains, for example) if that degradation can ensure preservation of others (like the Amazon.) You have to view it all holistically.

of course it's better to free up land nature can "use" than it is to free up land even nature has a hard time doing something with.  (it's better to free up land in, say, moist New Jersey than it would be to free up land in dry ass New Mexico), and I never suggested otherwise.  A guy from the Garden State asked why it was better to free up land, I answered that question.

u know guys i have a good idea for the environment. why don't we just put all the trees under a big ass dome and then build pipes to pump the oxygen directly into everybody's skyscraper? then we won't have to worry about needing land for trees and grass and sh**t bcuz they will all be under the big ass dome.
