And I did enforce the rule that porn could only be psosted on a certain board, to make browsing work and school-safe.

I'll openly endorse you.  You seem to like the idea of freedom in this forum.  I normally don't like a lot of your posts.  But as far as moderating goes, if they let Alcon do it, anyone else can obviously do it better.  Hell I'd welcome Miss Catholic to run 2008 board, Killerpollo run International board, global crier to run the US General Discussion, and Hawkeye to run the Individual Politics board before I'd let Alcon moderate anything.

Alcon should focus most of his attention on deleting posts made by posters who don't use the Shift Key.  It would be less of an eye-sore for the rest of us.

No, BRTD, I don't think you are the correct replacement and we wouldn't gain widespread support for your instatement in any event, even if discontentment with Alcon's moderation grows.  But Alcon should be "sacked."
