He was accused of conspiracy to commit murder. I don't know if the allegations are true or not. He also voted against expelling James Traficant.

IMO it's very unlikely he had anything to do with Levy's murder. Most of that speculation was drummed up by the media circus that surrounded her murder. The real outrage should have been focused on the DC Police. They failed to find her body for way too long (resulting in any forensic evidence decaying away) and sloppily conducted their whole investigation.

He voted against expelling Traficant. Why would anyone do that? Who was really involved in the mysterious murder of Chandra Levy?

Condit was probably the only person who benefited from Levy's death...

If you swap the first two letters of his first and last name you get Cory Gandit which sounds kinda like Cory Gardner

The whole affair killed off his political career. Anyway he was never oficially considered a suspect.

I actually have some respect for him, as one of the few Democrats to oppose the insanity of repealing Glass-Steagal.

That doesn't justify him being a hypocrite like Bob Barr.

Condit's district was closer to what CA-10 is.

I guess. Although he was replaced by Dennis Cardoza, who represented what later became CA-16.
