I have yet to meet a single person in real life who is openly undecided over who they will vote for in 2020. Biden and Trump are pretty much polar opposites in almost every way, that it takes a very specific person to be stuck in the middle who likes Biden better as a person and morally but likes Trumps policies better. I feel like most undecides are people choosing between voting 3rd party, and essentially wasting their vote, or voting for one of the major canidates, even if some of their values don't align. I personally believe that this election will come down to turnout, and people see this election as a referendum on Trump, meaning that Trump drives both his own turnout AND Biden's turnout, which is a very powerful position to be in. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and he has been pretty irresponsible and has made things worse for himself.

Maybe 10%?

The bigger group is "will vote or stay home" (for either candidate).

Most of the undecideds are already decided--the 'shy' Trump voters come in--though it would be more apt to call them 'embarrassed Trump voters' at this point, who support his policies but don't want to be associated with Trump the person, and likewise some people on the left who aren't yet ready to admit to themselves they're voting for Biden. And a somewhat small portion (especially in the RV polls) simply won't show up.

probably like 5% or so.  they're probably mostly lean Trump voters (many who voted for him last time or sat out) who don't like him as a person and find Biden acceptable as far as Democrats go.  Trump probably needs to win all of these people plus still cut into some of Biden's current vote share.

I don't know, but probably a lot lower than 2016. On the whole, I expect this race to be a lot less fluid; that is, almost everyone already knows who they are voting for, so the polls won't move much.

Genuinely undecided? Probably like 2 or 3% max. I feel at least 2-3% of the "undecideds" are embarrassed Trump supporters who don't want to associate themselves closely with the racist antics.
