Electorally successful in the long run: Boris Johnson (UK Tories) or Andrew Scheer (Canadian Tories)?

Johnson has probably already been more successful than Scheer can ever hope to be.

Clearly Johnson, unless he manages to magically turn into Kim Campbell during these next few weeks.

Boris as he will almost certainly win the next election or at least it is extremely likely.  How long he will last is hard to say while it is very unlikely Scheer will ever become PM.  He is too damaged goods so unless he changes a lot (unlikely as unlike Harper quite stubborn) or Trudeau has Wynne like approval ratings (with a minority he will probably be more cautious.  If he got a majority this might happen not with minority) then maybe but neither seems likely.  Also he has to win a majority to become PM, a minority will just result in centre-left parties ganging up to keep him out.  Never mind Ontario and Quebec Tories are not happy with him so at the leadership review, he will probably get over 50%, but not by much and pressure to step down will just intensify so my guess is he won't be leader come next election.  I don't think there will be an election anytime soon as the NDP is broke so they won't pull the plug until they replenish their coffers.

I'll go with this too. I think Boris either quits in 2024 if the whole term goes through or midway through the term after this coming one if there is another snap election at some point. In either scenario, I think he's PM about as long as Cameron was, which isn't bad at all. He could stay longer, but he's an ambitious man who wants to do more things in life after he's done with elected politics. I give it a very low chance that Scheer is still Leader by 2023 by contrast.

Given the reports that Scheer could well be ousted in the next month, lol at this thread.

Even if Johnson loses our election, he has already been more successful by any definition.

Considering the fact Scheer will probably never lead his country, Johnson.
