Indifferent. He was a freedom fighter of the Indians, but he was also racist. He also supported the Indian caste system.

Isn't he? If he's not, than it may be more of a cultural thing. I do know he was on the wrong side of the caste argument, although my memoy is fuzzy as to what the exact story is.

Manmohan Singh is a Sikh, in fact, India's first ever Sikh Prime Minister for that matter; and Sikhs don't believe in the caste system.

You might be confusing Manmohan Singh with V.P. Singh, the former Prime Minister who established a caste-based quota system.
