Which of these have done the most good for humanity, on average, throughout history and in all places?  I acknowledge that most of the time some or all of these are the same, but not always.  For example, ancient Rome had the state, the church and the money as (more or less) one entity and it's fingers were all over the army.  Today, in the US, the church has virtually no power, the army is completely subservient to the all powerful state, that is in many cases under the control of the money.

Feel free to nitpick or tear apart, I encourage it even.  Should "the people" be an option?  Should "the army" not be because it's almost always part of "the state"?

The Church, and only the Church.  Every other good thing is a byproduct of that.

This but the state.

No church, with its good or its ills, can exist outside of the organized society that a state upholds. The same is true of 'money' (for whatever that would be without a state) and armies (which without the control of a state would be nothing more than warlords).
