I supported Kaptur, but honestly I too am disappointed in him. He was a FF in 2004, back when he ran a campaign that was more of an anti-Iraq War purist one than the kooky stuff he's associated with today. Alas his post-2004 activities is just becoming kookier and kookier.

I dutifully voted for Kaptur in the primary in what seems like eons ago, against him. His list of flaws is extraordinary long, and he's frankly a shell of what he had the potential to be. Yet, I will cut him some slack for being one of the more honest Democrats in the national spotlight. Still an HP on the balance though.

This. Due to his honesty and his conviction (not simply being à party hack) even though I dont agree with him on a whole lot I'd have supported him against Cordray in the primary yesterday.
