Virginia, like almost every southern state, belongs to the "yellow" U.S. states, which elect governors and their deputies separately.
Who do you think will win the lieutenant gubernatorial election in Virginia?

I wonder if this race is where generic D vs generic R is more relevant. I don't think I've seen Vogel leading in a poll in some time, so I'd have to say Fairfax. If Northam is winning comfortably then I don't see how he loses. After all, everything else aside, it is Vogel who has baggage, not him.

Her claim to fame is sponsoring a bill that would've forced women to get an ultrasound done before an abortion. Oh, and her husband sent emails to her primary opponent's supporters (falsely) saying he was having an affair with a campaign aide. The family values party.

If Northam wins comfortably while Fairfax wins narrowly or even loses, discussions about racism will arise again, especially after the events having happened in that state this year.

I think it will probably have a similar result to the Governors race. Whichever party wins Gov. will win LG in all likelihood unless the Governor election was literally within 0.5% or something.

Most people had already voted before the election and the poll results have basically looked the same since then.
