Just based on their infamous statements, Mourdock, because while what he said was insensitive, it was based in a sincere belief commonly held by pro-lifers that all life is precious and worthy of protection. Akin's comments were totally outrageous.

Interestingly, I was coming here to essentially post this. If Akin honestly believes that rape victims can't get pregnant, then he's saying that every pregnant woman who said she was raped is  liar. So not only is it predatory pseudoscience, but also hardcore Red Pill nonsense.

I agree with this. If you have sex with a woman forcefully or if coercion is involved, it is rape even if she somehow enjoyed it.

Akin. What he's famous for saying is worse than what Mourdock is famous for saying (Mourdock's statement wasn't even really bad, just bad politics to say), but Akin would likely be a pretty generic back-bencher in the Senate while Mourdock would be a Freedom Caucus type headache on every vote.

So Akin based on economics.

I would have gladly voted for either one.
