Republican: Dewey runs on the idea of internationalism. He proposes no new wars unless necessary. Should Germany lose a war, he suggests minimal territorial losses "that we may prevent further nationalism in Germany." Despite this, he remains the most hawkish candidate, promising to declare war for any reason. He pledges to keep most of the New Deal intact, promising to reform it "along the lines and ideas of Theodore Roosevelt, Robert La Follette, and Hiram Johnson." His staunch pro-civil rights stance and legal mind seems to indicate his large base of support, largely about anti-racism, anti-communism, and anti-Taftism.
Democratic: While Garner calls himself "the Southern Roosevelt," FDR's support for him is clearly extremely reluctant. Garner seems to be positioning himself between Al Smith, FDR, and Alben Barkley. His isolationism is very strong. He pledges war as a last resort, but he also declares that any enemy of freedom, any enemy of America, will be punished harshly. He has proposed some pro-labor legislation, while also hinting at cutting other parts of the New Deal. He is campaigning in the South(read: Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland: the most competitive Southern states) on opposition to civil rights.
Progressive: The radical Marcantonio pledges no war for now. His staunch support for the Soviet Union, at least staunchly to remaining Trotskyites, and his support for the more moderate communists in China leave many concerned. Marcantonio calls The New Deal "a minimalist project," pledging to increase public spending on it by at least 50 percent in his first two years. He himself focuses less on civil rights. Charlotta Bass, however, seems to campaign almost solely on civil rights. Bass's widespread readership has lead to surprising gains in the female and minority vote. Marcantonio focuses more on semi-nationalization of banking and public transportation(buses, taxis, airports, seaports, etc.), while Bass focuses more on voting rights and ending the draft.
Communist: They run to Marcantonio's left, pledging to end the draft, allow minorities to integrate fully into the military, double or triple spending on the New Deal, and nationalize the banking and farming industries. They also promise to semi-nationalize the automobile and airplane industries. Finally, labor unions are promised more power than Garner offers. All businesses/corporations with a certain amount of employees(200+), or with a profit line of over $100,000 annually, or with an owner/CEO/President making at least $29,000 annually, will either be broken up or nationalized, or partially both.

So... Proposing to split the votes of all your enemies so your ideal candidate can win and reinstate Moderate Hero Republicanism at the federal level. Don't be so transparent, KP!

Liberal Republicanism is not my ideology, much less so progressive Republicanism.

I would have:
Truman/Barkley
Wallace/Marcantonio
Taft/MacArthur
Thurmond/Wright
Glen Taylor/Daniel Hoan

President Johnson

Dewey. Moderate Republican and pro civil-rights. Hiram Johnson is also a good argument for this Republican ticket. Garner is still a conservative at heart.
