Seems like a nice person and I don't blame the DPP for wanting to escape the clutches of Beijing, but I can't help but feeling she will be responsible for WW3.

HP.  She is actually from the the moderate faction of the DPP and I had some hopes that she can build on the Ma administration to reach some sort de facto truce with PRC and iterate toward a Chinese unification of the future.  This might still happen but in the meantime she is bungling her term so far right and left.  What is frustrating is that her implosion is taking too quickly for the recently defeated and divided KMT to take advantage of this.   So far it is NPP that is benefiting from this much to the alarm of the DPP who feel the can deal with the KMT (as a known quantity) but NPP is to much of an unknown force to grapple with.

FF on balance, but I'm worried that she's going to be careless. No doubt, she'll be less friendly to Mainland China than Ma, but if she messes with them too much too quickly, Taiwan could face some pretty severe consequences.

Mixed, tilt HP. Her upside is that she reshaped the near-tombed DPP in 2008 and made it cruise to landslides in 2014 and 2016. However, she might be careless to handle relations with China, and she currently has no intention to recognize the 1992 consensus. Again, my pan-Chinese nationalism prevails.
