Option 1. But that's all I want to share here.
Bah... that really sucks... I can sympathize, being in the same boat *hugs*

Uh, well, thanks Smiley

It was always my impression that people who don't ever feel depressed are emotionally stunted in some way.

I have the opposite view of this question: I think that happiness is the unnatural state of mankind, at least for people who think and feel deeply.

sad isn't the same as depressed, and people who think it is are just making Pfizer more money.

If I had Brownies, you'd have +3. Smiley

Anyways, I don't have depression, except for the ocasional bursts everyone has.
Still, I have enough problems from being O-C.

I voted 5...but I'm never really down for more than a few hours. But as others have pointed out, I don't find that to be abnormal in any way, rather the contrary.

Put me in the most chronic & severe category.

I am going through a very prolonged depression that started in mid-May. In mid-June I decided I was very miserable anyway, so why not quit smoking. That made me feel much more miserable.

Slowly pulling out of it. Hopefully.

I suffer from depression all the time, though I don't know that it's "severe" really.  I don't want to kill myself or anything.  Though I used to cut (as previously stated in another thread) and although I've stopped, I get the urge to do it again all the time.  So.....I guess that is severe.

Yea.

It's surprising to see how many people here seem to suffer from chronic depression.  My sister has suffered from it, and it has had a terrible effect on her life.  I wish all of you the best of luck in combatting it.

No, it isn't. Most young people suffering from depression find great comfort in using the internet.

I guess you're right.  I just hadn't thought of it that way.  Still, I hate to see it.  I hope everybody here who suffers from this problem finds a way to defeat it.
