Yes.

Pence needs Trump to be successful to be President himself someday.

I think he will already be President in 2020 after Trump orchestrates unpopular policies such as killing terrorists' families, which is a war crime, thus contributing to a potential impeachment.

I have a feeling Pence might be President by 2020.

I am starting to think that Trump may be impeached to be honest.

Interesting, because that would mean the GOP would turn against their own.

It would not change anything for the GOP because Mike Pence is a Republican as well and if Trump is impeach, the President will still be a Republican.

Well, technically Trump's been a Democrat most of his life, so...

Dropping your VP is a thing with few precedences. Nixon didn't drop Agnew in 1972, Bush Sr. didn't drop Quayle in 1988, Wilson didn't drop Marshall in 1916, even thought all seriously considered this. I doubt JFK would actually have dropped LBJ in 1964.

The only modern example I can think of is FDR allowing the DNC to drop Wallace in 1944. Coolidge would be most likely dropped had Harding lived.

Of course yes, given Trump's hostility with some moderate or liberal Republicans.

Mike Pence will be Republican head-ticket in 2020. He will be the sitting president or the VP of a President Trump not seeking a second term. My humble prediction.

The real question is: Who will be Pence's running mate?
