John Brown is regarded by many, especially here, as a praiseworthy individual for his actions in the fight against slavery; he also spilt some innocent blood in the pursuit of ending slavery.  Would an American who is looking to stop the cruelty of ISIS kills their innocent family members comparable to John Brown?

I didn't say target, I said kill innocents ... most would agree Brown did that.
