A doddering old man. His brains started to fail as soon as he started saying "THE MOTLEY CREW", and thinking it was good journalism to ask Lady Gaga "HOW ARE YOU???" in order to get her to say anything about her health.

King's a guy who had mediocre-to-decent journalism chops and then never practiced a day after getting the big job, and then got too old to wing it. He's not very smart, to put it nicely.

Maxwell is correct to note that King's journalistic presence was grossly exaggerated at best and a complete allusion at worst. How quickly has been forgotten is a testament to the fact that his career was 30 years of hyped up, glitzy background noise.
