Trump won the week. He had good polling, he had his opponent out of action for almost all of it.

Why do people think it was the deplorable comment that's brought her down and not the pneumonia episode? It's obviously the latter.

Anyways, Trump won. Though you can already see this current media cycle being bad for him leading up to the first debate.

A bit off topic, when is the first debate?

Obviously Trump, but Clinton still holds a narrow edge in Electoral College

Even the hackiest of Clinton hacks wouldn't disagree that Trump won this week.

Christ, it was a bad week for Clinton, but people need some calm and perspective. As it is never the answer to lick batteries or drink paint thinner, nor is voting for Trump.

America was made great again, compliments of Donald Trump, the Deplorables, Pepe and the folks that make the "I've Fallen and my polling numbers can't get up" device.

Oh, good. Then it's done, the sad tragic joke has ended?

Also no, Trump will be there when I wake up tomorrow

Tied.

Any chance that he had of winning this week was ruined by the things he said today.

Winning one week does not an election win make... the idea that Trump would never, ever have a good week (especially if you consider the low-bar for what constitutes such a thing) is kind of bonkers.

You could already be feeling the side effects of food poisoning from Trump's food safety regulation policy. If you start feeling abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting, it could be the salmonella, but most people will probably feel it anyway during a Trump presidency.

Why do people think it was the deplorable comment that's brought her down and not the pneumonia episode?

Because we have feelings.  We have sympathy.  I do not blame her for contracting pneumonia--I had pneumonia and I missed three weeks of school because it; I was constantly in pain and tired during that time; if anything I felt compassion for her because of it.  Moreover, I do not hold it against her that she tried, initially, to continue her work even though she was sick.  I've done that as well.  Calling tens of millions of people I've never met nasty names, on the other hand, is not something I've done, and it's not something I can condone.  I wasn't going to vote for her anyway, but this only reinforces my previously held belief that she's a cynical politician who will say anything to get elected and that she puts herself and her career ahead of her country.  (FWIW, I feel the same way about Trump, but we're only looking at the past week.  My feeling for Trump did not become more negative during the week.  If anything, it became slightly less negative because he finally indicated that he's going to stop suggesting that my president was not born in Hawaii.  I guess if we pick apart his motivations, and I happen to be in a Kantian frame of mind, I'd probably not be impressed with the statement by Trump that Obama was born in the USA, but I haven't concerned myself for the moment with his motives and I'm not in a particularly Kantian mood today.)

Trump supporters having feelings and sympathy for Clinton? Where'd you get that one from?

I will dignify that with a response, because I will assume that you are genuinely confused and not merely trolling me for sport:

I did not say state that Trump supporters have sympathy for Clinton.  There is nothing in post to suggest that, so your confusion stems from inference, not implication.  For clarification, you may replace all instances of the plural first-person personal pronoun with the singular.  After all, I should only speak for myself.  In fact, I was speaking only for myself, using the terms "we" and "I" interchangeably.  I do not claim to know what Trump supporters (or Clinton supporters) might think, and do not claim to, although I suspect that their regard in the matter of her illness is not very different than mine, especially any who may have had the misfortune to contract pneumonia.
