No to TPP

I think it's great that Derrick is opposed to the TPP (though Stefanik flip-flopped after this ad), but I'm a little wary of a Democratic House candidate saying that Trump is right. Anyway, I supported Green Candidate Matt Funiciello in the House race until yesterday when I saw that Democratic Candidate Derrick had a campaign website up now that outlined his positions on issues so I could actually know what he believes. Now I'm undecided/tilting Derrick due to that and this ad.

The last poll of NY-21 (from last year) showed Stefanik at 51% (urgh), Derrick at 17%, and Funiciello at 13%. The margin of error was 5%.

If you can't tell, I'm very interested in the House race now.

Going against TPP is a good way to both court Trump voters AND pull votes from the Green Party spoiler.

Race background: NY-21 has an even PVI (and voted only 55% Stefanik in 2014) yet for some reason is rated Safe R by Rothenburg and Likely R everywhere else. I blame Funiciello for taking votes away from the Democratic Party.

Elise Stefanik has outraised and outspent Derrick. She has 1.5 million cash on hand, compared to 450,000 for Derrick and 6,400 for Funiciello. (I rounded. Click the link for exact numbers.) A Super PAC has spent $52,000 in support of Stefanik.

Here's another Mike Derrick ad: "Stop". It's also about the TPP and is pretty much just like the other one, only this time he includes Sanders as well as Trump.

Yeah, pretty much. I still have hope, though. That maybe Derrick will crack 30%.
